This is the place to submit and vote on photos for the week of 15 Oct to be featured on the main site. This contest should showcase your best quality work, demonstrating at least moderate skill with a camera and a general understanding of the artistic aspects of photography. Remember, the selected photo will be displayed on our main site header for a week. Submit something that you and the members of our site will want to look at and admire for seven days!  This contest is for the community to choose what they LIKE (not what they dislike), with the most liked being displayed on the main site header for a week.

There is no theme this week

Submissions may be added any day of the week until voting closes. The winning image (with the highest votes) as of the close of voting will be exhibited on the main site.

  • Wow, the B&W is amazing! Best one without doubt :) – Petr Újezdský Oct 10 '12 at 22:39
  • Great shot, really like the combination of B&W with the water. – Nate-Wilkins Oct 11 '12 at 1:53
  • Thanks guys! I actually took 2 shots of this tree and I personally prefer the portrait orientation. Initially, I didn't even process the landscape orientation but I really wanted to submit a B&W this week so I used the same processing including the grain for the landscape. – Jakub Sisak GeoGraphics Oct 11 '12 at 14:10

Larger Version

  • +1 Looks good in small version. The large one has scary noise :( Maybe a lower ISO or a trip through Noise-Ninja can help. – Itai Oct 11 '12 at 19:19
  • +1 Like this one a lot. Agree with @Itai - large version is noisy but the small version works. Nice mood and colours. – Jakub Sisak GeoGraphics Oct 12 '12 at 13:34
