Another option (and one that I have a bias towards) would be little film canisters like so. Again, you'd need to fill with the proper colors.

Asthetic tastes vary widely, so beautiful to you may be the opposite to others. A neutral gray is best for seeing pictures, so actually makes some technical sense.
