Jun 18, 2011 at 3:16 comment added Jay Lance Photography @Friol Completely OK (potentially healthy, even!) to like your own picture even if others don't like it, or don't 'get it.' In the picture-of-the-week threads especially it's a good idea not to weigh downvotes- or even peoples comments- too heavily... They're far from a 'formal critique.' :-)

Jun 13, 2011 at 23:17 comment added jaxxon I have to agree in theory. If they were walking into the frame (away from the camera across the bridge), it might draw the eye into the photo. As it is, it carries the eye away from the focal point, which feels odd. Nice feel to the architecture and sky, though. But it's your photo. If you like it, that's what counts!
Jun 13, 2011 at 21:22 comment added jrista Mod Have to agree with rfusca on this one. The people don't really bring an intriguing element, and as they are walking out of the frame, it seems a little odd. In this case, I think the bridge alone would be better. There are some other issues with the photo as well...such as the severely blown out clouds. Artistically, I might have chosen an angled view of the bridge from the side, or maybe a black and white version. Something to make it more interesting and more stylistic.
Jun 13, 2011 at 21:06 comment added rfusca Maybe, I don't know...but the people look like they're invading would should be an architectural photo.
Jun 13, 2011 at 20:59 comment added friol it would be boring... wouldn't it?
Jun 13, 2011 at 19:16 comment added rfusca I would love this...without the people there.
